Tedford as Schembechler certainly would be preferable to Tedford as Carr (with Pete Carroll playing the role of Woody Hayes).
I certainly hope Cal football can live up to the comparison (Carr, Schembechler, or otherwise) in the years ahead. Just as long as we remain Blue and GOLD, because "maize" isn't a color; it's cattle feed.

Just an fyi that, for all the grief he has received in recent years, Carr did something Bo never did - win a national championship.
As an aside, I do recall when I was an undergrad at Michigan (mid-90's) that UM was purportedly the second most liberal campus in the nation, behind only (you guessed it) Cal.

When I say become Lloyd Carr, I mean "later in his life/stubborn as can be" Carr who got Tresseled every year, not the younger feistier Carr who stomped over the entire Big 10. Tedford has a slight streak of stubbornness in his playcalling.
Actually, I'm not sure I want him to become like Bo either, who got to the Rose Bowl plenty but barely won there.
