    also, Cal won't really be a spoiler next week. USC isn't really in the running for PAC-10 champion any more.

    If USC wins out (they still have to play at ASU and would own the tie-breaker over them), an at-large bid for the Rose Bowl is a good possibility for them. Best to quash that hope altogether.
